Terms and Conditions.

Opening Hours:

We are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Bookings for public/bank holidays require 2 days notice. There are special rates for these days.

Vat charged at 17.5%

Hire Charges: For hours hired between 12 midnight and 6pm there is a 20% added surcharge.

We have a 1.5 hours minimum hire charge. Hours calculated garage to garage except where subject to specific quotations. Bank/public holidays 25% surcharge. Our wedding hire is based on 3 hours minimum local hire and is a set rate.

Vehicles:

We reserve the right to change any car booked as long as we provide the same standard of car. Edinburgh City Travel reserves the right to sub contract to other companies should the need arise.

Invoices/Account Charges:

Invoices will be sent out on a weekly basis and payment is respectfully requested within 14 days.

Booking/Cancellation Charges:

All bookings must be paid in full before the hiring commences, unless stated otherwise. Any extra hours will be settled at the end of the hire. When other terms are agreed their will be a £50 per car non-refundable booking/cancellation fee required. All bookings will be charged 100% if cancellation is 3 days before the date of the hire or 50% charge for 5 days before the date of the hire.

No Smoking:

The Scottish Parliament has introduced laws that make it illegal to smoke in certain public spaces - our vehicles are considered non-smoking areas in accordance with the law. This applies to both driver and passengers.

Passenger Behaviour:

We reserve the right to refuse travel to anyone that causes disruption, or endangers our drivers or passengers.

Delays:

We do not accept liability for delays caused by unavoidable traffic delays/accidents, bad weather conditions, or delays caused by third parties such as ferry companies, hotels or any other third party contracted on your behalf.

Flight delays:

Clients will understand that where flights are delayed beyond one hour, additional charges will be incurred. This will be at the rate of £25 per hour all inclusive. Where delays are greater than two hours, we request clients to contact Edinburgh City Travel to rebook on ( 0796 987 1542) as soon as possible. Rebooking will be on availability only. There are no refunds for cancelled flights.

Responsibilities:

We hold public liability, motor and business insurance and are responsible for all our own cars and drivers.

We do not accept responsibility for any theft or damage to goods except where such theft or damage was a direct action by one of Ediburgh City Travel's employees.

We do not accept responsibility for bodily injury, sickness or death to any other person except where such injury, sickness or death is caused directly by a member of Edinburgh City Travel's staff.
